Grade SS 430 Welded Tubes have excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance. Stainless Steel UNS S43000 Seamless Tubes has good corrosion resistance to numerous substances, such as certain organic acids and nitric acid. Solution annealing can be performed by heating SS DIN 1.4016 Seamless Tubing to 815 – 845°C (1499-1553°F). For sub-critical annealing, of AISI 430 Seamless Tubes heating should be performed to 760-815°C (1400-1499°F), followed by air-cooling or water quenching. To perform any welding, ASME SA268 Stainless Steel 430 Welded Tubes has to be pre-heated at 150-200°C (302-392°F). The machinability of ASTM A268 Stainless Steel 430 Seamless Tubes are a lot easier than standard austenitic steels such as grade 304 – but there is a chance for galling.

ASTM A268 TP430 SS U Bend Tube
Features :
- ‘U’ bending is done by the cold working process.
- ‘U’ bending is done to the required radius as per customer drawings.
- The bend portion and six-inch leg is stress relieved by resistance heating.
- The radius is checked for its OD and wall thinning with the recommended specification.
- The physical properties and microstructure are checked at three different positions.
- Visual inspection for waviness and cracks is done with Dye Penetrant Test.
- Each tube is then hydro tested at the recommended pressure to check for leakage.
- Cotton ball test is done to check the ID cleanliness of the tube.
- Inert gas (Argon) is passed through it at the required flow rate to avoid oxidation in ID.
- Thereafter pickled, dried, marked and packed.
- All procedure is strictly followed as per TEMA “C” and ASTM A-688.
